2007 L.M.S.
Last Man Standing
This wine is intensely dark purple, almost inky with enticing aromas of spice, tea and vanilla. The flavors begin with ripe, lush plum, blackberry and fig then leads into a weighty dose of earthy dark chocolate, violet and licorice. A solid backbone of tannin and a firm acidity make this wine concentrated, velvety, extraordinarily well-balanced and lengthy. Between the fatness, intensity of flavors and its firm structure this wine is prepared to age over the next ten years.
LMS is definitely a red meat wine that is complex enough to stand up to heavier cuts of meat. Grilled duck breast, braised lamb and fatty cuts of beef would be ideal. Purchase online.

"Malbec is the hottest thing going, and this is the finest Washington Malbec I have ever had. Imagine if Ozzy made wine and Andre the Giant was his assistant and you get pretty close to the delicacy of this wine. Brutal?
Of course, but some times that is what we want."
